“True individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence.” Franklin Delano Roosevelt
When I say it gives you freedom, I mean it. Read this site if you are…
- § Currently tied to a successful job or career path, as I was, and feel trapped.
- § Wanting to stay home to raise your children rather than send them off to daycare for hours everyday.
- § Living paycheck to paycheck.
- § Successful, but have reached your income potential.
- § Merely surviving instead of thriving, and don’t know where to go to get ahead.
- § Currently renting.
- § A homeowner and want to increase your wealth.
Whatever your circumstances, real estate investments will increase your wealth and give you more freedom to do the things you want to do, rather than the things you have to do.
This is not a get rich quick plan; in fact, it’s the opposite. It’s a way to set out on your own and take control of your life. It may take a little while to achieve your goals, but the process enables you to have more control over the decisions that affect your life.
How long will it take? Most people want to see results immediately. Your individual success will depend on a number of factors - the cycle of the real estate market, where you invest, in what type of property you invest, as well as many other factors. I invested at a slow, steady, solid pace for about five years, which gave me a solid foundation for my investment portfolio. Then, I worked to speed the process by investing more aggressively.
How do you get started? Reading this and other sites are important first steps. Knowing and learning from others that have succeeded, and failed, is also important. But, the most important step to learn is to take action. I consider myself smart, but I would become paralyzed from wanting to over-analyze a deal – they call this “analysis paralysis”. I believe that being involved in the corporate world for so many years taught me to fear impulsive action and analyze every little part of a deal. Learning to move beyond that has catapulted my success. |
